FACTORY
MARANELLO (1947 – today) / Italy
The company is located in Maranello, 35 km from Bologna. After the Second World War, Enzo Ferrari had brand new facilities built on land he had acquired during the war in this large town 18 km south of Modena.
A new industrial strategy launched in 1997 by Luca di Montezemolo puts people at the centre of the manufacturer’s considerations, and is designed to optimise workplaces, provide ongoing training and take account of employees’ personal lives. The programme is also intended to renovate all Ferrari factories in order to improve the living environment for employees.
Considering that employees are more productive in a more pleasant environment, the most modern factory in the world has been designed to keep the drudgery of work to a minimum. The plant also includes a modern company canteen, a fitness centre and a knowledge centre.
The Ferrari programme also emphasises sustainable development, with a thousand trees planted and photovoltaic cells installed following the construction of the factory.
