AMT AND DCT ROBOTISED GEARBOX
Whatever the make: PDK for Porsche, S Tronic for Audi RS, DCT for Mercedes AMG, SMG I or II and DKG for BMW M, F1 or F1 DCT for Ferrari, ZF for Maserati and finally ISR for Lamborghini, their design hardly differs and our teams will always find the technical solution to save you a costly replacement.
These types of gearbox often fail due to a pull or a safety position, but grunting noises in odd gears are also common.
SMG / DKG - BMW
The SMG transmission is a robotised electro-hydraulic manual technology developed by BMW in collaboration with German equipment manufacturers Getrag and Sachs. This system enables faster gear changes, even under full load.
BMW DKG technology (from the German Doppelkupplungsgetriebe or double-clutch transmission) is a manual gearbox with parallel gears in which clutch control and gear changes are managed automatically. The BMW DKG transmission was first introduced in 2008 in the optional GS7D36SG gearbox.
