Since its launch in 2005, the Gallardo has been available in countless variants. It’s hardly surprising, then, that the Los Angeles show marks the appearance of a new variant: the LP570-4 Spyder Performante. This version follows the recipe of the Superleggera presented at the last Geneva Motor Show, but this time under open skies. To lighten the beast, the engineers at the Bull have turned to carbon. The door panels, seats and soft-top cover all feature this material. This variant also takes care with its aerodynamics, adopting an imposing carbon rear spoiler and a generous extractor. The chassis has not been forgotten either, with carbon-ceramic brakes as standard and revised suspension settings.
